| DAY 1: MOMBASA – MALINDI - LAMU (Mombasa to Malindi 120 kms, Appx. 2.5 hrs) | ||

Pick up from your beach resort and proceed on a leisurely scenic drive to the Malindi airport. Sisal, coconut,mango and forest plantations together with subsistence crops and local homesteads occupy the 120 km stretch of smooth tarmac road. We arrive in time for our 30-minute flight to Manda Island. Met and transfer by boat or dhow to Lamu Island. A walk or donkey ride takes us to our hotel. This is Part of the fun! A whimsical day at Lamu Kenya!. Explore the maze of streets, visit the Lamu museum, take a dhow tour to the neighboring Islands, visit the Shella beach or simply relax and while the day with the locals in this serene retreat. Overnight at your Lamu hotel. |

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning is at leisure. After lunch take a boat transfer to the Manda Island Airstrip. Road transfer to Mombasa.
