Lodge Details

Style

A spacious and private cottage, ideal for families.

Setting

In a secluded valley, at an altitude of 6,200 feet Acacia House sits overlooking the famous waterhole in the north of the Masai Mara North Conservancy.

Accommodation & Facilities

Acacia House consists of two spacious, en-suite bedrooms and a third attic room, created specifically for younger guests. There is a large sitting/dining area with a cosy fireplace for those cooler evenings, as well as an office room or ‘den’ equipped with a television. The extravagant, open air veranda looks out over the famous Ol Chorro waterhole, where wildlife and bird life can be enjoyed at very close quarters without even stepping foot out of the door. There is also Wi-Fi internet access, laundry services and mobile phone coverage.

Acacia House is fully staffed with well trained and experienced employees all at your disposal; including a chef, house manager and a wildlife guide. This is a great opportunity to explore the Mara North Conservancy’s 70,000 acres with your own private Masai guide and vehicle, all on your own terms.

Dining

The food is uncomplicated, imaginative Kenyan cuisine prepared by a small team of experienced chefs from local produce. Wines, beers and soft drinks are also provided.

Activities

Night and day game drives, with knowledgeable guides are done both in and out of the conservancy to ensure a wide range of safari experiences. Visits to the local villages, schools and trading centres can be arranged as well as picnics in the bush and sundowners. The swimming pool is shared with, nearby, Mara House.

Interested guests are welcome to join in with the Rekero Trust Projects; this includes daily computer training for local communities at the Rekero Trust classroom.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome; the perfect property to include on any family safari to Kenya, providing privacy, excellent guiding and a relaxed environment for children to enjoy and understand the everyday life of Africa.

Responsible Tourism

Power is provided via a solar inverter – please note that this cannot power hair dryers.
